
Justin Copeland
Justin Copeland enjoys representing individuals and business clients in a variety of corporate transactional matters, with an emphasis on startup companies, franchises, mergers and acquisitions, and business purchase/sales transactions. Mr. Copeland also advises clients on a broad range of business matters, including contracts, real estate transactions, employment matters, internet law, and intellectual property (copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets). Mr. Copeland also handles various corporate, civil, and real estate litigation matters.
His clients have included companies in the software, technology, energy, real estate, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, advertising & marketing, and retail sectors.
Mr. Copeland grew up in San Antonio, attending Clark High school and graduating at the top of his class. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. Before attending law school, Mr. Copeland worked as a computer programmer, web developer, and technology consultant to small businesses. He later attended law school in Washington, D.C. at the George Washington University Law School, well known for its top-ranked Intellectual Property program. There he focused his studies on Business Law and Intellectual Property, and was actively engaged in national politics. After working in politics, he returned home to Texas and started his own law firm that focuses on helping individuals and small businesses in the Austin area. He is now “Of Counsel” to Whitehouse Law, PLLC.

Joshua Whitehouse
Josh is a member of our Austin, Texas office. Josh’s practice focuses on intellectual property, contracts, and employment. He has advised on formation and structuring issues with regards to securities law, as well as in acquisitions. Josh holds a J.D. from the University of Oregon. He received a B.A. in the multi-disciplinary honors program, Plan II at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Islamic law. He has worked for the Texas Attorney General’s office and is admitted to practice in Texas.

Nate Whitehouse
Nate is a member of our New York office and the founder of the firm. Nate’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law, particularly on structuring, the formation and operation of seed and bridge round financing prior to series A. Additionally, he has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions and contractual work. His clients include financial firms. Nate holds a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. He received a B.S. in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Music in Piano at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to law school, he worked on research involving complex computational analysis of mRNA expression data with the Human Genome Project and scaleable data analysis systems. After law school, he worked with several large law firms as well as an investment bank. He speaks fluent Spanish and French. He is admitted to practice law in New York State and is also a member of the venture consulting firm Startup Launchpad.
